Ivana Kupala: Ukrainian Midsummer Festival at the UW/H

Time
Location Unigarten hinterm Hauptgebäude
Organizer Reinhard-Mohn-Institut/Kurs "Managing War"

July 6 is always a big day in Ukraine - especially for young people. They celebrate "Ivana Kupala" on the summer solstice. Traditionally, people weave flower wreaths and jump over the fire. People enjoy life. This is difficult in times of war and far away from home.

But the students of the course "Managing War" in the B.Sc. Management - among them a number of Ukrainians - still want to celebrate and show the modern culture of Ukraine: Music by the DJ Vykrutka from Kyiv. Pictures of Ukrainian artists. // All guests are welcome to join in and celebrate: there will be typical Ukrainian food, handicrafts and, of course, the weaving of flower wreaths, which will be placed on the water at nightfall in a ceremony accompanied by good wishes.

The activities are free of charge. Donations for UW/H Ukraine Aid are welcome. Registration is not necessary. All are welcome to attend!

The event will be held behind the main university building in cooperation and coinciding with a "beer night" of the unikat.

Questions about the Ivana Kupala celebration are welcome to the head of the "Managing War" seminar, Prof. Möllering of the Reinhard-Mohn-Institut at rmi@spam protectuni-wh.de.
