The countries of the Global South are facing major challenges. Not only are they often much more severely affected by the climate crisis. They also lack the funds to finance the sustainable transformation, e.g. to import important green technologies. One solution to this dilemma would be to create a green world central bank that can issue its own currency, the Ecor. These funds could be made available to the global South in particular for sustainable projects and finance the necessary measures worldwide.
