The Witten Forum for Sustainability aims to bring together actors from the city, civil society, science and business to find answers to the major urban challenges of the present. From climate change to health, social cohesion, energy and mobility. After the welcome by Mayor Lars König, UWH President Prof. Martin Butzlaff, StV. IHK General Manager Christiane Auffermann, we welcome Dr. Schostok from the Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia with a presentation "Gemeinsam.Nachhaltig.Handeln".

Afterwards, Ralph Hiltrop from the city of Witten will present on the topic: "Globally Sustainable Municipality NRW: Sustainability Strategy of the City of Witten." Afterwards, everyone is invited to get to know various regional actors and business representatives in the field of ecology and climate protection at the Market of Opportunities. There will also be the opportunity to participate in various workshops - from sustainable urban food to urban production.
