Staff mobility with Erasmus+
Through Erasmus+, financial support can be given for stays abroad for teaching as well as for training purposes.

Mobility for teaching purposes (STA)
What is supported? Teaching stays (seminars, lectures, talks, tutorials, supervision of PhD students, participation in Rigorosa, etc.) at partner universities with which the UW/H has concluded an Inter-Institutional Agreement. The teaching load must be at least 8 hours per week or per stay. For stays of more than one week, the teaching load to be provided is calculated on a pro-rata basis (formula: 8 hours / 5 days x number of additional days).
If teaching stays are combined with continuing education measures, the teaching load is reduced to 4 hours per week.
Staff from companies located in program countries who have been invited to UW/H for teaching purposes can also be funded through STA. For invited staff from companies, there is no minimum teaching load and funding is possible for as little as one day.
Who is sponsored? Lecturers who are employed at Witten/Herdecke University (research assistants, professors, doctoral students and lecturers).
Which periods are eligible for funding? 2 - 60 days (without travel days)
Mobility for training purposes (STT)
What is funded? Eligible for funding are further training measures at partner universities with which the UW/H has concluded an Inter-Institutional Agreement, as well as in public or private organizations in Erasmus+ program countries. This includes job shadowing/hospitation, workshops, activities with Erasmus+ relevance and participation in Staff Training Weeks. Research projects directly related to research and conferences are not eligible.
Who is eligible for funding? UW/H staff members with a regular employment contract.
What periods of time are eligible? 2 - 60 days (without travel days)
