The Senate is the highest academic decision-making body at Witten/Herdecke University. It is significantly involved in the strategic orientation of the university in teaching, studies and research. The duties of the Senate are set out in the NRW Higher Education Act and the Basic Regulations of Witten/Herdecke University. As a rule, the Senate meets once a month.
