Times of crisis! UW/H, how are you?

Cordial invitation to the next edition of "... in dialogue"

Dear University Community,

As the past year drew to a close, we were optimistic, given the positive development of COVID-19 incidences, that the crisis period was behind us and that we would be heading for calmer social and economic waters in the new year. At the latest with the start of the war in Ukraine, we became painfully aware that it remains uncertain whether and when a sense of security, predictability and some light-heartedness will return.

This makes it all the more important for us, even at the end of this extremely demanding year, to look back with you on challenges that have been mastered and also to address immediately upcoming tasks and important questions for the future.

We cordially invite you to our format "... in dialogue" under the motto "Times of crisis. UW/H, how are you?". Whether it's war, an energy crisis, or an underlying pandemic, the issues of our time affect us directly - individually, as employers, as a university community. They force us to respond, to seek new solutions, and reveal opportunities as well as risks. So we want to talk to you about how UW/H has dealt with these challenges this year, what we face, how we are positioned to deal with them, and how we are doing - as a university and individually.

For the first time, we will be able to hold "... in Dialog" not only digitally, but also in presence, and we would like as many employees and students as possible to participate.

When: Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Where: Event hall in the new building

We are happy to discuss with up to 150 members of our university community on site in the new building. In addition, it is also possible to participate via Zoom. We will send you the link shortly before the event.

Please let us know whether you would like to participate digitally or in person. Your information will be anonymized under this form and will only be used for better preparation of the event.

With the event series "... im Dialog" series of events, we would like to provide orientation in these persistently challenging times and promote and strengthen exchange and community among members of our university.

Save the date and join us! We look forward to seeing you and to a lively participation on site as well as in the virtual space!

With best regards from the Presidential Board
