Democracy and social cohesion thrive on interactions and collective action. The Knitting Café run by Cem Sentürk combines social engagement, creative activity, and democratic participation. As participants knit or crochet together for a good cause, conversations, encounters, and new connections emerge among people from diverse backgrounds and with varied experiences.

No registration or prior experience is required to participate. Knitting supplies are provided by Zeit für Solidarität e. V. Coffee, tea, and water are provided free of charge by the university.
