Kitchen at Christopherus-Hof
Old hands may remember the kitchen of the "Café im Kulturstall" initiative in the Christopherus-Hof next to the university. Until 2020, students and residents of the courtyard baked cakes and prepared other delicacies there and offered them in a pop-up café on Stufu Thursdays.
The kitchen had been empty since the Hof's chef retired in 2024. The cafeteria has been working hard for some time to find a solution to meet the increased demand. It was therefore obvious that we should also consider an external solution. With the kitchen, we have now found an option for the time being to cook the required amount fresh for you every day using modern equipment.
We will provide regular updates on the current status of the move on Instagram.
On the way to Christopherus-Hof, you will pass the field from the field trial. Among other things, vegetables grow there, which we process for you. Field time takes place weekly during the lecture period and everyone is invited to get involved. The walk is worthwhile all year round. How far along are the kohlrabi and beans planted at field time, what happens in winter, how wet or dry is the drainage, how do the plants cope ...? There is always something to discover!
