What is the meaning of life, the nature of the world, and humanity’s place in the world? What can I know? What ought I to do? What may I hope for?
This series of events focuses on philosophising, reflecting and speculating together. Over the course of several evenings during this winter term, fascinating texts by outstanding thinkers will be presented and discussed. Each evening will be led by a different philosopher.
Today’s guest is Alfred Hirsch, lecturer in philosophy at Witten/Herdecke University and director of the Institute for the European City.
