Dear colleagues, dear students,
dear guests of the university!

Last Thursday, we were once again able to celebrate our big summer party in ideal temperatures and beautiful sunshine. Almost 2,500 guests came together in a great atmosphere on our large and open campus.

The summer festival was opened this year by the "Popcorn Band": the inclusive band from Lebenshilfe Witten provided an atmospheric start with their summer festival song, which was specially arranged for UW/H. The HSW dance group delighted the audience with great choreography, the "Checked Tits Club" presented their song and DJ Hornbert rounded off the evening with rousing beats.

It was a joyful, enjoyable and colorful hustle and bustle around the campus - it doesn't get much better than that.

On behalf of all the guests, we would like to thank everyone for all the preparatory work, the follow-up work and the very alert and attentive management in the middle of it all:

To the small and incredibly dedicated core team who shouldered the entire planning and organization for this day and implemented it brilliantly!

A huge thank you also goes to over 80 students and all the dedicated helpers from all parts of the university who were involved in the preparations, on the day of the party and in the clean-up and follow-up work; to the HSW and all the colleagues in the cafeteria who also helped to organize the event:inside the cafeteria, who once again this year provided delicious salads and grilled vegetables for the physical well-being; the StudierendenGesellschaft, who traditionally prepared the chips; and to the hard-working staff of our Facility Management - who were always ready to help and solve problems in any way they could.

Finally, we would like to thank all of our guests: this summer party was cheerful, lively, enjoyable and always respectful and considerate. That's not something that can be taken for granted, and for that too, thank you very much!
