Under the overall direction of university music director Ingo Ernst Reihl, the university choir and orchestra once again invite you to their big summer concert this summer. The program is varied and also includes the participation of actor Claus Dieter Clausnitzer. He will read the relevant biblical passages from Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's Paulus Oratorio op. 36 in Emil Boch's sonorous translation from 1950. The orchestra will also play a movement from Schumann's Rhenish Symphony "Feierlich" op. 97 IV, as well as the concert overture "Michelangelo" op. 39 by Danish composer Niels Gade. Clausnitzer will also recite sonnets by Michelangelo translated by Rainer Maria Rilke.
Admission costs €15. It is free for pupils, students and refugees. Tickets are available at the box office.
