Lina Schwenk completed her medical studies at Witten/Herdecke University five years ago. When asked in her application interview what she could bring to the university, she answered: writing. The result of this passion is the novel “Blinde Geister”.
Now she wants to present her work to the Witten audience in a public reading. The novel has been shortlisted for the German Book Prize, the Alfred Döblin Prize and the ZDF aspekte Literature Prize, and has also been awarded the GWK Encouragement Prize and the Audience Award at the Harbour Front Literature Festival.
"Blinde Geister" is a moving family story that takes us from post-war Germany to the present day and asks the question: How can we protect our own family and save ourselves from it at the same time?
The event is free of charge.
