Time
Location Campus, Alfred-Herrhausen-Straße 50, 58455 Witten
Organizer HumboldtN & [tra:ce]

The third interdisciplinary summer school of the Alliance for Sustainability of the 16 North Rhine-Westphalian universities - Humboldtⁿ - will take place at UW/H from September 2 to 4, 2024.

The event is being organised in cooperation with the International Center for Sustainable and Just Transformation [tra:ce] at UW/H.
This year's Humboldtⁿ-School is dedicated to “Planetary Health in NRW - Impulses for Change” from an inter- and transdisciplinary perspective. The workshops and lectures provide insights into research approaches not only from the medical sciences but also, for example, from social and economic innovation research. New impetus will be provided by reflecting on transformation research and incorporating sustainability aspects into research activities. Participants will reflect interactively on sustainability communication and learn about research communication tools.

Post-doctoral researchers and doctoral students from all disciplines at universities and universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia who would like to deepen their knowledge and actively participate in the Humboldt School “Planetary Health in NRW - Momentum for Change” are cordially invited. The number of participants is limited to 30. The call is open until June 30. The language of the event is English. Participation is free of charge, and travel and HumboldtN will cover hotel costs.
Humboldtⁿ is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The Wuppertal Institute and the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts are strategic partners.
