IHK in-house visit to Witten/Herdecke University CAMPUS X COMPANY

Time
Location Wooden building, E.021, Alfred-Herrhausen-Straße 48, 58455 Witten
Organizer Witten/Herdecke University in cooperation with the IHK Mittleres Ruhrgebiet

The future is created where business and science work together.

The challenges of our time - from digitalization and skills shortages to changing markets - affect all sectors. This makes close cooperation between business and science all the more important.

At this IHK House Visit, Witten/Herdecke University opens its doors - not only to IHK members, but also to the interested public - offering a chance to experience knowledge transfer up close and gain behind-the-scenes insights.

The event focuses on impulses and perspectives on how learning and cooperation between universities and companies are changing.

Program:

  • Opening: Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bock, university ambassador of the IHK Mittleres Ruhrgebiet, opens the event, introduces himself in his role as university ambassador and gives a short impulse on the importance of cooperation between science and business.
  • Transformation: Dr. Christian Geßner, Centre Director of the ZNU - Centre for Sustainable Leadership, focuses on transformation in organizations. From his experience in supporting companies, he will show why successful change requires structure, orientation and people who have learned to deal with change.
  • New learning: Manuel Dolderer, Project Manager Transformations at the Faculty of Business and Society, shows why learning needs to be rethought today. When knowledge is available at all times thanks to AI, the role of the university shifts: attitude, judgment and the ability to remain capable of acting in complex situations become crucial.

By participating, all interested parties have the opportunity to network with other companies and gain new impetus. Registration is free of charge online.
