Strategize Your Life - living happily and fulfilled for 30,000 days on earth

Especially in times of crisis, many existential questions arise about health, security, the meaning of life, career prospects and work-life balance. Nevertheless, everyday life often consumes us and we live our days without getting to the bottom of these existential questions.

The aim of Strategize Your Life is to transfer the principles of strategic thinking from the boardrooms of the world to our own lives - in seven interactive units:

  1. Great Life: what are the cornerstones of a great life?
  2. Life Purpose: How do I find my purpose?
  3. Life Vision: What should my life look like in five to ten years?
  4. Life Portfolio: How do I strategically manage my time, energy and money?
  5. Life Benchmarks: 22+ ideas for a great life.
  6. Life Choice: What small and big decisions should I make?
  7. Life Change: How do I ensure successful implementation?

At the end of the course, participants will have defined a first version of their life strategy - on a single page. They will also have derived a purpose and defined a vision.

Every company has a strategy - less than 4% of people have one. Most people study hundreds of hours for exams, spend thousands of hours online, but have probably never invested eight to ten hours in their own life strategy. We should do this before it is too late and a large part of our 30,000 days on this earth are over.

The workshop, spread over three evenings, is a cooperation between the UW/H Career Service and the Reinhard Mohn Institute for Corporate Management (RMI).

Who is the workshop for?

The workshop is aimed at students from all disciplines and is held in German. There is a minimum of 20 participants.
All participants commit to writing a 5-page reflection of the workshop on their lives.

All information shared by participants in the workshop will be treated confidentially. This confidentiality - also among each other - is expected and assumed by all participants. The results of the questionnaire will only be evaluated and processed anonymously, as will the 5-page reflection on the workshop.

ECTS points

After submission and review of the 5-page reflection of the workshop by Rainer Strack, it is also possible to obtain a Stufu participation certificate (equivalent to one ECTS) for participation in this workshop. Students can report this to Prof. Strack. He will pass on the examination result to the WittenLab examination department and have it registered.
