Kindergarten children in Witten can bring their sick teddy bears, stuffed bunnies or cuddly tigers to the UW/H and have broken paws, aching tummies and other "illnesses" treated there. With the Teddy Hospital, UW/H students have created a playful way to help children overcome their fear of visiting a doctor.

The event hall in the university's wooden building is transformed into a clinic with a registration desk, waiting room, examination rooms and an operating theater. Here, the children experience the medical wards with the support of the students and can actively assist in the treatment of their cuddly toys. For medical, dental and psychology students, the teddy hospital is a good opportunity to practise talking to children for their future work.

Once again, children of students and staff are explicitly and cordially invited to take part! A special time slot has been reserved for this from 2 - 3 p.m. in the event hall of the new university building . If you are interested, please register your child by e-mail at teddykrankenhaus@uni-wh.de.
