The Communication and Marketing department is continuously working on optimizing the uni-wh.de website. The aim is to keep it user-friendly, up-to-date and accessible, to make content clearly accessible, to improve findability and to present the university as a whole in a contemporary and consistent way. In recent months, we have been working in the background to further develop central areas in order to make the university more visible in its entirety and to address different target groups more specifically. The following changes have been visible for a few days now:
- Home page as a showcase for the university
The home page, which was previously aimed primarily at prospective students, now also more strongly reflects the area of science. This makes it more than ever a showcase for the university: it presents our strengths in studies, teaching and research in a balanced way and facilitates direct access to the relevant content. - New menu - more orientation
The menu name "Our Vibe" has been changed to "About us". This is where you will find central information about the university - from the mission statement, university management and careers section to the newsroom, awards and rankings. The departments of the faculties, the WittenLab, the Professional Campus and our institutes, centers, working groups and outpatient clinics are also located here. - The three other main areas have only been slightly adapted: "Studies" (previously "Your Studies") and "Campus" (previously "Your Campus") have been renamed, while the name "Research" has been retained.
- New intranet page for web support & feedback form
You will now find a new web support page on the intranet. This is where we are bundling central information and contact options relating to the website. In addition, an online form is available to you (after registration), which you can use to submit comments and change requests in an uncomplicated and structured manner. In this way, you help us to keep the website up to date and continuously develop it further.
