Where can you find fair-trade coffee, sustainable shopping options, or initiatives that work to make Witten a great place to live? The second edition of the guide “Sustainable Living in Witten” provides guidance and highlights sustainable places, shops, and projects in the region.
Whether it’s the Kijamii Café, the “Radgeberin” bike repair shop, zero-waste stores, or the cooperatively run regional grocery store: Witten has many places to offer where sustainability is put into practice in everyday life. The guide highlights this diversity and shows how dedicated entrepreneurs, startups, and initiatives are shaping the city with their ideas.
The guide was developed in collaboration with the City of Witten and Witten/Herdecke University. It is aimed at students, residents, and visitors who want to live more sustainably and support the local scene. The project was supported by Stadtwerke Witten, AHE GmbH, the Witten University Association, and the Fund for Student Initiatives.
