APA PsycArticles is the full-text journal database of the American Psychological Association (APA). This online database contains more than 200,000 articles from 117 journals (06/2014) (peer-reviewed) of the APA and other leading publishers/organizations. Articles from 1894 to the present are included. Updates are made weekly.

PsychARTICLES lists articles from all areas of psychology, including basic research (from DBIS).

PsycInfo

Bibliographic database on psychology

PsycInfo lists journal articles, books, book chapters, book reviews, research reports, case studies, etc. on psychology and related fields such as psychiatry, sociology, educational sciences, anthropology, pharmacology, physiology, criminology and linguistics, as long as they are of interest to psychology. Around 2,500 journals are evaluated. In total, PsycInfo offers around 60,000 new entries per year with weekly updates.

PsycINFO is produced by the American Psychological Association (APA) (from DBIS).

The PBSC database searches approximately 500 journals for available articles in the fields of psychology, anthropology and psychiatry.

Scopus is a multidisciplinary citation and abstract database for scientific journal articles. Elsevier has provided it since 2004 and offers links to full-text articles and other bibliographic sources.

It contains over 38 million entries and provides abstracts and citations from over 18,000 peer-reviewed journals from more than 5,000 international publishers. In addition, 435 million web entries and 23 million patents can be found in the database.
Scopus can be used for both literature searches and bibliometric analyses.
For all articles published since 1996, in addition to the abstract, the literature references are also included and offered in linked form.

Like the JCR of the Institute for Scientific Information (Thomson ISI), Scopus enables citation analyses. A publication's citation frequency in Scopus does not necessarily match that in the ISI databases. Scopus currently only evaluates which works have been cited from 1996 onwards.
SCOPUS does not use the journal impact factor to measure scientific value but rather the h-index.

DBIS is a database information system in which many academic libraries in Germany record the scientific general and specialist databases they make available to their users, briefly describe them and, in some cases, make them directly available in full text.
