Health and the oral cavity change with age. Inflammation of the gums, often promoted by hygiene, smoking or medication, interacts with systemic diseases such as diabetes or dementia. Oral health influences quality of life and cognitive performance. The lecture explains the correlations and shows ways of prevention - regardless of age.

The lecture will be held by Prof. Dr. Anton Friedmann, Chair of Periodontology at the University of Witten/Herdecke.
