For more than 30 years, the StudierendenGesellschaft Witten/Herdecke e. V. (student society) has been actively shaping the development of Witten/Herdecke University with the Reverse Generation Contract. This anniversary will be the occasion for an educational conference that combines professional exchange with encounters and celebration. The central question is: How can social responsibility be learned - and what role do universities play in this?
Our society is facing profound upheavals: Artificial intelligence, digitalization and social polarization are changing the way we learn, work and live together democratically. How universities should respond to this is one of the key questions of the conference. We see universities not only as educational institutions, but also as central places where attitudes, responsibility and democratic participation are developed.
"doing university" is deliberately not a classic symposium, but instead focuses on dialogical formats, workshops and co-creation spaces. Students, lecturers, researchers and stakeholders from various areas of society work together as equals to develop perspectives for a responsible and sustainable university.
The day will be characterized by keynotes, workshops and panels and will conclude with a festive reception followed by a birthday party.
Tickets are available online. The cost is between €20 and €80.
