Whether for internships—regardless of the industry or position—as a potential entrepreneur, or even just to manage the shared apartment budget: A solid understanding of Microsoft’s spreadsheet software is essential these days and, when used correctly, can save you a lot of work.
The courses are open to all UW/H students. To participate, you must have your own laptop with a version of Excel (2010 or later) installed. However, we recommend obtaining the latest version of Excel. Every student can download it for free at www.office.com.
Only students who can attend one of the sessions without interruption will be admitted to the course.
Dates:
November 7, 2026, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., Room 1.170b, Main Building (Basis)
November 28, 2026, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., Room E.110, Main Building (Extension)
All courses are in-person. A maximum of 20 people are admitted per session. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration is required. The registration deadline for the basic course is October 28, 2026.
The registration deadline for the advanced course is November 18, 2026.
If you have already taken a basic course or will be attending the basic course on June 13, 2026, you may also register for the advanced course.
Important note: Registration is binding. A cancellation fee of €30 will be charged for unexcused absences. This policy has proven effective, as there have been instances in the past where courses were considered fully booked and interested students were unable to secure a spot. In fact, however, some registered participants failed to show up without canceling, leaving spots unused.
