Gardens for the community have been growing just a few steps away from the university since 2022 - a lively place to enjoy, learn and meet.
Fresh vegetables and fragrant herbs thrive here, which not only enrich the canteen, but can also be enjoyed together directly from the field. But these gardens are much more: they are a habitat and retreat for a growing variety of plants and animals that are increasingly enlivening the Pferdebach Valley - in wetlands, on walls and roadsides, in flowering meadows and between fruit trees.
A walk with Marion Körner-Zipperle (Entwicklungsgesellschaft für ganzheitliche Bildung Annener Berg e. V.) through this special cultural landscape will open your eyes to natural connections: from biotic communities and cycles to humus formation and the exciting interplay between soil vitality and intestinal flora. An hour of the senses - listening, smelling, tasting, marveling...
If it rains, participants can take a virtual tour as an inspiration for their own walks - supplemented by a sensory guessing game of smells and tastes.
