From A for “semester abroad” to S for “inability to study” to Z for “additional studies.” Every student and young professional makes financial decisions. This lecture focuses on students’ individual financial roadmaps and the art of optimally allocating a tight budget to cover everything from essential risks to secondary risks. After the lecture, every student will be able to distinguish between sensible and nonsensical financial decisions.
The following questions, among others, will be discussed:
- What are existential risks, and what are non-existential risks?
- Can I choose my own health insurance provider, and which one is the best?
- Public or private health insurance?
- Do I need coverage for disability while studying or working?
- What should you keep in mind when purchasing insurance?
- Building wealth as a student. Is it worth it with small amounts?
- Help! Why do I need my own personal liability insurance for my master’s program? I thought I was covered through my parents?
