"Research Data Day in North Rhine-Westphalia" is an annual, statewide event organized by the state initiative fdm.nrw to raise awareness among researchers and students about the professional and sustainable handling of digital data. Participants learn how to store and share their research data in a legally compliant manner according to the FAIR principles – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.
The hybrid event offers a combination of a central morning program organized by fdm.nrw and decentralized workshops at the universities.
The University of Witten/Herdecke is an official partner of the state initiative and a permanent member of its associated communications network. UW/H actively uses this annual action day, held every November, to link the state-wide offerings with its own infrastructure.
Participation is free of charge. Further information about the state initiative fdm.nrw and registration options is available online.
The event will be held in German and English.
