The SWITCH conference is the start of a new platform for all those who want to act sustainably in awareness of planetary interrelationships. It is the place where young people, students from all disciplines, decision-makers from companies, organizations and governments come together to work with experts from business, science and politics on new planetary models of thought and approaches to action.
Planetary education is designed to address global challenges. At its core, it is about developing a comprehensive understanding of the complex interactions between the environment, society and the economy. It focuses not only on ecological aspects, but also on social justice, cultural diversity and global interdependencies. After all, humanity is facing what is probably the greatest need for transformation and adaptation in its history. If this SWITCH is to succeed, we must fundamentally question our previous patterns of thinking and behavior. We must readjust and recalibrate our relationship to the natural processes of our planet.
The goal of SWITCH is to educate current and future leaders in the essential dimensions of planetary thinking so that they can shape future entrepreneurial and social change processes with a planetary consciousness.
The conference is an initiative of the WittenLab. Zukunftslabor Studium fundamentale and the Professional Campus of the UW/H. For more information, visit the conference website: https://planetare-bildung.de/.
There will also be a warm-up to the conference on July 6; see the event announcement for info.
