Universities must maintain ideological and political neutrality. But where interested people come together in large numbers, committed discourse is inevitable - also about politics.
How can this tension be dealt with and what does it mean to have to be politically neutral? What role does the university play in social discourse? What positions can and should it offer public space for? How activist can it be? And what fruit can these questions bring to teaching?
We want to address this complex topic on Teaching Day 2024 on 11.10.2024 in keynote speeches, fishbowls, workshops and round tables. All interested university members are cordially invited!
