19th International Conference “Advances in Pneumology”

Time
Location FEZ, Great Hall, Alfred-Herrhausen-Straße 44, 58455 Witten
Organizer Pneumology.eu

The 19th international conference AIP – Advances in Pneumology – will take place this year from December 5 to 6, 2025, in Germany at the University of Witten/Herdecke.

The AIP conference – Advances in Pneumology – was launched 20 years ago to facilitate the exchange of scientific findings on the subject of pneumology among experts at the European level. It takes place in a different European country each year.

The long-standing scientific directors of the AIP are:

  • Prof. Dr. med. Mieczysław Pokorski (Institute of Health Sciences at the University of Opole, Poland) and
  • Prof. Dr. med. Kurt Rasche (Director of the Clinic for Pneumology, Allergology, Sleep and Respiratory Medicine at Helios University Hospital Wuppertal and affiliated with the Chair of Pneumology at the University of Witten/Herdecke)

The AIP concept thrives on young participants (doctoral students, assistant doctors, students, etc.) who want to present their studies on an international stage and take advantage of the opportunity to publish their research results in an international journal. At the same time, scientists are given the opportunity to share their experiences and research findings in the field of pulmonology with others, to exchange ideas and to discuss. All this takes place both in the respective lectures and in personal exchanges.

Every participation helps to ensure the continuation of this unique conference.

For all other students who would like to participate in both days of the conference at UW/H, there is a special offer for €25. The first 5 UW/H students who apply to participate in this unique conference will be admitted free of charge. Please apply directly at Sarah.Jamaly@spam protectpneumology.eu. If you would like to propose your own topic, please also contact Sarah Jamaly by email.

The event will be held in English.
