Topic: Exploring the intersection of Planetary Health, Democratization and Value-Based Healthcare
Summary: Planetary health refers to "the health of human civilization and the state of the natural systems on which it depends". The need for taking a planetary health perspective has never been more needed given the various challenges being faced whether it be at a societal or environmental level. In this session, we will give an overview of planetary health and its importance followed by an exploration of how democratization of healthcare systems as well as value based healthcare could be used to deliver planetary health.
