An international group of participants - including artists, theorists and publishers - will present a selection of artists' publications from the 1960s to the present day. These works either critically engage with computer-based thinking in the analog space of the printed page or incorporate early computer technologies into their production.
Each reading lasts a maximum of 10-15 minutes. This hybrid event is open to the general public.
The event "Reading Artists' Books: Problems for Computers" is part of a Studium-Fundamentale seminar on early computer technology and art, organized by Regine Ehleiter (postdoctoral researcher, Chair of Digital Art and Art Education, WittenLab). The reading takes place in cooperation with the research group "Access to Cultural Assets in the Digital Transformation" at the University of Münster.
