Theme Day for Integrative Body Psychotherapy Body psychotherapy deals with the interplay between body, psyche, and spirituality, as well as with the individual's social interaction. The path goes from the body to the mind and vice versa. With this series of events, we want to give more space to the ICPT and create moments of experience. The Integrated Accompanying Studies of Medicine and Psychology is organizing a theme day for this purpose. Interested external persons, as well as students and employees of Witten/Herdecke University, are invited. The program will deal with scientific basics such as embodiment, body memory, biological basics, trauma and body psychotherapy, and consciousness research. In a section on self-experience, participants will have the opportunity in various workshops to engage with dance and body psychotherapeutic techniques or to try out other methods such as those of the Bodyconnection or Rosen method.
Further insights into working methods will be given. For professional application, insights into Rhythmic Massage, Psychodrama, Trauma, and Dissociation will be provided. The conclusion is formed in a typical dance with contact improvisation.
