Next Monday, May 16, 2022, marks the start of this year's city cycling competition. This competition is about making as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way by bicycle.

Employees and students can register for the Witten/Herdecke University team at www.stadtradeln.de/registrieren under "Witten". Our goal is to become the largest team with the most kilometers in the Ennepe-Ruhr district and to draw attention to the many cyclists at the UW/H. Therefore, please take part in the city cycling and convince your colleagues and fellow students.

For the start of the city cycling, the bike café of the Wabe will come to the university on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and repair bikes for a small fee. The repair workshop offers, among other things, a "quick check" with a focus on brakes, gears and tires - only what is actually repaired or replaced is paid for.

In addition, all interested parties can test the free cargo bike "PottsBlitz" (eBullitt) of the Pottkutsche initiative on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 11 a.m. on the UW/H campus. On all other days, the cargo bike can be booked on the site pottkutsche.de and picked up at the bike café.

The loan is basically free of charge, donations are welcome.
