Start of the 2025/26 winter semester with Mendelssohn Bartholdy's "Paulus"
The Witten/Herdecke University Orchestra is starting the new winter semester - and is urgently looking for committed players, especially for the wind section. The university choir is also looking forward to new voices, especially reinforcements in the tenor section.
This semester's program includes a real musical highlight: Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: Paulus (op. 36) - a monumental oratorio for soloists, choir and orchestra, with a performance duration of around 2.5 hours.
Who can take part?
All students, staff and musically ambitious people with instrumental or orchestral experience are welcome - especially wind players (woodwind & brass), but string players can also register!
Start of rehearsals & regular dates
Choir rehearsals: Wednesdays, 19:15 - 22:00
Orchestra rehearsals: Thursdays, 19:15 - 22:00

In addition to the choir and orchestra of the UW/H, we are looking forward to a top-class soloist ensemble and the 5th grade of the Rudolf Steiner School Bochum.
