At lunchtime in particular, there are regularly long queues at our food counter. In order to make the processes more efficient and significantly reduce waiting times, HSW is introducing binding adjustments with immediate effect.
This week we will point out the changes in case of deviations - from next week we ask you to pay attention to them.
The most important points at a glance
- Payment for lunch only with SmartCard (at both food counters)
- If there is insufficient credit: please top up in advance and queue again
- No topping up at the cafeteria counterduring lunchtime
- Payment at the counter without (sufficient) SmartCard: guest price charged
Second food counter from summer semester 2026
To reduce the workload, a second food counter will be opened from the summer semester 2026 onwards.
- New edition: Menu 2 (vegetarian/vegan)
- Existing food counter: Menu 1 (special offer dish) and Menu 3 (e.g. soup/stew)
At both food outlets, payment is only possible with SmartCard.
The standardized payment method ensures a fast process without interruptions.
Check and top up your SmartCard in good time
Please check whether your SmartCard has sufficient credit before ordering.
Top-up possible:
- Cash at the top-up device (on the right in front of the cutlery trolley)
- Via PayPal to print@uni-wh.de
- Online at https://print.uni-wh.de (in the university network)
It is not possible to top up at the counter during lunchtime.
