Taking into account the wishes and expectations of the UW/H community, the Communication & Marketing department has fundamentally revised the uni-wh.de website and adapted it to the current requirements of our university and the usage habits of website visitors.

Primarily aimed at the target group of prospective students, the website presents our exciting range of courses, life on campus and Witten as a place to study with an emotional appeal. However, the new look and feel also shows us as an attractive university for other external target groups and does not lack facts or seriousness. The new bilingual website also allows us to reach the growing number of international students. The new presentation of the website is rounded off by the contemporary, responsive design and clear user guidance.

When will I have access to the backend again?

In the first few weeks, we have to make sure that everything works technically in the backend. We will let you know shortly when we will be offering training courses and when you will be able to edit your pages yourself again. Until then, please continue to contact websupport@spam protectuni-wh.de so that we can incorporate your changes.

Is the entire website bilingual?

In the future, the entire website will be available in German and English. At the moment, only the pages that are relevant for prospective students have been translated. We will add the remaining pages later.

My personal photo is missing - do I have to contact someone?

We will update existing personal photos by the end of October. If your photo has not yet been added by the beginning of November, please contact us.

My publications are not on the website - what do I have to do?

Publications are integrated via an interface to the UW/H university bibliography. As soon as you provide us with the ID generated from the university bibliography, we will be happy to add it to the backend. Your publications will then be displayed.

Where can I find all personal contacts of the UW/H?

Only a selection of employees is published on the website; you can now find all personal contacts (after logging in) on the intranet: https://intranet.uni-wh.de/uwh-services/adressbuch-uw/h/ansprechpartnerinnen
