New Scopus Integration Boosts the Visibility of Research at UW/H

Since its official launch in March 2024, the University Bibliography (HB) has established itself as the central platform for documenting scholarly publications at UW/H. It now includes nearly 13,000 works by UW/H researchers and helps make research visible and manage publication data efficiently.

The web-based application enables easy recording of publications, including through partial imports via DOI or ISBN. In addition, researchers can create their own publication lists and embed them directly on their websites. The lists update automatically, ensuring that scientific achievements are always presented in a current state.

Another important step was the UW/H’s accession to the ORCID Germany Consortium. Already, around 200 researchers are taking advantage of the opportunity to link their ORCID profile to the university bibliography and synchronize data in both directions. This service is available to all UW/H researchers.

Now comes the next leap in quality: The university bibliography is permanently linked to Scopus. As part of this integration, approximately 1,500 Scopus IDs of UW/H researchers were researched and maintained. In addition, approximately 3,000 publications that had not yet been recorded were identified and added to the university bibliography.

The university bibliography thrives on the participation of researchers. Anyone who has not yet recorded their publications, or has done so only partially, is cordially invited to take advantage of the platform’s features and thus contribute to the visibility of research at UW/H.
