Witten/Herdecke University is once again supporting the Ruhr Valley Angels' Christmas campaign this year.

Like all children, many young people in Witten are already looking forward to Christmas - and lots of presents. With around 3,000 children and young people from needy families, the place under the Christmas tree - if there is one - will probably remain empty. This fact touches us deeply and we are delighted if we as a university community can once again help to bring a sparkle of joy to children's eyes.

As usual, a list with the Christmas wishes of the children and young people to be surprised will be available in the post and information office of the campus building from November 6, 2025. Here you can choose one or, if you like, several wishes - everything is worth up to 30 euros - and a transport organized by us will personally bring all the beautifully wrapped gifts to the Ruhrtal Engel rooms. The deadline for the gifts is 05.12.2025. For us, this is a small deed that will have a big impact with your help!

The Ruhrtal Engel are committed to providing low-income children and young people in particular with the opportunity to eat a balanced, healthy and free diet. To this end, they run a lunchtime table with homework supervision and games for children from socially disadvantaged families in their premises on Annenstraße from Monday to Friday.
