The works council election is coming up: The employees of UW/H will soon decide who will represent their interests in the coming years.
Election date
Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Who is eligible to vote?
All employees who are entered in the electoral list (Section 2 (3) WO) and have reached the age of 16 (Section 7 BetrVG) are eligible to vote. The voters' list is available for inspection until the end of voting - at the post office/information desk in the main campus building (entrance area, first floor, Alfred-Herrhausen-Straße 50, 58455 Witten), on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00.
Important: Temporary student employees are also entitled to vote, provided they are at least 16 years old on election day and are employed by the company.
Where do you vote?
The three polling stations are located in Witten:
1. in the entrance hall in front of the elevator, first floor, main campus building, Alfred-Herrhausen-Straße 50,
2. in the entrance area, first floor, FEZ, Alfred-Herrhausen-Straße 44,
3. in the entrance area, first floor, Stockumer Straße 10.
Important: Postal voting is also possible.
Who is running?
Four lists are running for election. You can view the "Announcement of the nomination lists" sent out by the election committee after registration/login.
