In the IGIM's introductory seminar, experts teach the basics of scientific work and research methods. Participation in the introductory seminar is a prerequisite for applying to the IGIM program.
The Interprofessional Graduate School for Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences IGIM has been running at Witten/Herdecke University since 2021. The IGIM offers a cross-university structured doctoral program to ensure a solid scientific education for young scientists (master's and doctoral theses) in integrative medicine.
The two-day seminar starts on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm and ends on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 3:00 pm. The program includes lectures and workshops on the basics of scientific work and research methods with concrete examples from integrative medicine. In small groups with doctoral supervisors, there will be the opportunity to develop and discuss specific research questions. Participation and on-site catering are free of charge, but participants must arrange their own travel and accommodation.
The application deadline for the introductory seminar is August 30, 2024. Anyone interested in a doctorate/master's thesis in integrative medicine can apply by emailing IGIM@uni-wh.de with a CV and a letter of motivation (1.5 to 2 pages).
