William Shakespeare wrote sonnets in addition to his plays. The poet Paul Celan translated 21 of them.

For her work with students at the UW/H, Blanche Kommerell incorporated some of them into the love scenes from the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" - in English and in German. The result is a collage. The overall theme of the evening is the problem of manipulation and that of love.

This play will be performed by students of the UW/H under the direction of Blanche Kommerell.
