In cooperation with the human rights organization Hawar Help, the university initiative "Solidarity Across" has taken on the sponsorship of two students imprisoned in Iran. Among other things, it sees itself as a mouthpiece for the two detainees and their situation to the outside world.
At this event, there will be an update on the situation in Iran and the two students. An exclusive video message from the prisoners' family will also be shown!
Postcard campaign
A special campaign is planned: Postcards will be sent. Both to Iran (to Evin Prison) and to the Iranian Embassy in Berlin. "Solidarity Across" not only wants to campaign for the release of its sponsors, the students Ali Younesi and Amir Hossein Moradi, but also for human rights. A postcard campaign cannot change a regime, but it increases the pressure from outside and makes the clear dissenting voices visible, also on an international basis. It also shows the detainees and their families that the initiative is actively campaigning for their release and against the regime - which can often lead to a small glimmer of hope. Everyone is welcome to join us!
There will be food & drinks at the event! The event is free of charge, but the initiative needs many people to set an example.
