Thomas Hübl, PhD, is a renowned teacher, author and international facilitator who works in the complexity of systems and cultural change by combining the core insights of the great wisdom traditions and mysticism with the discoveries of science.
What is the new us? The new us is actually an old us. The human being is born into the community and is dependent on it at the beginning and end of life, and is oriented towards it. The Living Record - life goes through us. Climate change and relation to the earth - we are earth. The process of establishing a relationship with it takes place within us. With love and not through prohibitions!
An important guiding question in this lecture series is: "How can we bear witness to climate change and how can we create new narratives for planetary education?"
Adapting to climate change is an evolutionary challenge where we need to understand that we are actually helping to shape the future. However, we think that climate change is a technical problem that has to do with carbon dioxide emissions. But it is about more than that - it is an adaptation challenge that also affects our beliefs, values and worldviews. We should not only consider the practical, technological and behavioral aspects, but also the personal and social aspects. To recognize the blind spot of these aspects, we need new narratives with a new awareness. This lecture series invites scientists and activists to conceptualize and practice the new WEs - global, transgenerational and planetary WEs.
Each lecture will be hybrid - online and in person at Witten/Herdecke University. All participants will be invited to a planetary cooking/dinner on July 18, 2024.
