Public Climate School - We join!

Dear Lecturers, Dear Teaching Colleagues,

At the heart of our mission statement is the aspiration to beable to "shape the changes in society in a sustainable and just way." In our teaching, we want to enable our students to assume personal and social responsibility.

As part of the Public Climate School (PCS), many lecturers at colleges and universities throughout Germany will once again be dedicating themselves to the crises of our time during the period from November 20-24, 2023. We would like to join them!

We therefore ask you to make a connection between your subject and topics of sustainable development in your course this week. Of course, it is up to you whether and in which form you adapt your courses. Everything is possible, from a critical question that stimulates an entertaining discussion to a complete adaptation of the lecture and co-design of the digital program. We would like to draw the attention of lecturers with few thematic points of connection to the idea of 2slides 4future; alternatively, this week you can also ask students to discuss with you the question of which aspects of your course address the social-ecological crises of our time.

In addition, to gain national visibility for your course and the UW/H, they can add your event to the local Public Climate School program. This is possible at this link: on the page, click on the plus in the upper right corner of the map.

For further questions (also beyond the PCS), please feel free to contact the Vernetzungsstelle Nachhaltigkeit.

Kind regards

Annaliesa Hilger
