The protection of your personal data is very important to us. According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), we are obliged to inform you about the purpose for which the HSW collects, stores or forwards data. This information also tells you what rights you have in terms of data protection.

2. type and purpose of the processed data

We collect the following data:

• First name, last name, address, telephone number, e-mail address
• Gender
• Matriculation number

We collect your data for the purpose of:

• the fulfillment of our contractual obligations (e.g. semester ticket obligation),
• the fulfillment of legal obligations (e.g. administration of fees, financing of the association)
• correspondence with you
• the provision of the university sports portal
• Accounting of the Ducker/Credit Cafete

3. recipients of your data

Within the Hochschulwerk, only those persons receive your data who need them to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or to carry out the respective tasks. Your personal data will be passed on to third parties in the context of fulfilling the tasks and purposes of the association. Recipients of this data are:

We do not forward your data to third parties for the purpose of advertising.

In case of late payment we reserve the right to forward all available data to our collection partner in order to enforce our claim.

Storage of your data

Upon termination of membership, personal data will be stored in accordance with tax law and disposed of properly after a maximum of 13 years.

4. right of objection

In addition to the right to information regarding personal data stored by the responsible party (HSW Witten/Herdecke e.V.), every member has the right, within the framework of the provisions of the DSGVO, to object to the future storage of data that does not have to be retained for certain periods of time within the framework of the legal requirements. Furthermore, in the event of incorrect data, the member has a right of correction.
