5S work design (also known as 5A in Germany) is a methodology that was popularized by Toyota in production systems in the 2000s. It consists of the following methods: Sort, Setin order, Shine, Standardizeand Sustain. In 2019, the University of Helsinki linked the methodology with research data and popularized it as "5S-Data". This Coffee Lecture will go into detail about the steps and how you can implement the right organization of research data in your work team.
