Let's go and listen! An art project for the campus
Since November 2024, Claudia Robles has been continuing the artist-in-residence program at UW/H, which aims to strengthen the links between art, academic teaching and science. The artist experiments with biometric data about herself and visitors in order to transform it as a resource in audiovisual environments and use it for performances, sound compositions and interactive installations.
In conversation with Renate Buschmann, Professor of Digital Arts and Cultural Mediation at UW/H, Claudia Robles will talk about her residency at
and present her art project for the university campus. Based on the practices of "Deep Listening" and "Sonic Awareness", she is working with students to design an artistic course that will be open to the public on July 5. Her idea is that visitors will perceive sounds and noises with greater precision and dedication than they usually do in their daily routine as they wander through the course. Supported by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation.
With KULTURZEIT, the WittenLab. Zukunftslabor Studium fundamentale aims to strengthen university encounters.
