Achieving operational excellence is crucial for companies in the automotive industry striving to maintain competitive edges, adapt to technological advancements, and meet evolving customer expectations. This lecture will provide insights into the strategies involved in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, optimizing supply chains, and ensuring product quality. By examining case studies from leading automotive companies, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to navigate the complexities of global markets, implement sustainable practices, and leverage innovation for operational success.

Isabel Vimbai Makwara Gora embarked on her professional path with a foundation in Global Economics and Management from Jacobs University in Bremen. Her career progressed at Mercedes-Benz, where she assumed key leadership roles, notably steering the company's largest transformation process in Germany and abroad, while reporting directly to the board. Her journey continued at Deloitte as a Senior Manager, where she developed the Automotive Digital Services Offering, focusing on pioneering new business models. Presently, Isabel works as a Director at Rolls-Royce, overseeing strategic and transformational initiatives.

Alongside her professional commitments, Isabel is furthering her business acumen through an Executive MBA at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School. She is an advocate for diversity and inclusivity, and champions initiatives that promote equal opportunities within traditionally underrepresented sectors.

This Guest Lecture, organized by the Reinhard Mohn Institute of Management, will be held in English. It is part of Prof. Dr. Guido Möllering's Bachelor module “Wertschöpfungsmanagement”, but open to everyone who is interested.
