Green hydrogen is seen as a key building block for the decarbonization of global energy and industrial systems. The European Union, and Germany in particular, expects significant hydrogen imports to meet future demand. At the same time, developing countries are emerging as potential key suppliers by utilizing their significant renewable energy potential.
This presentation will examine both the opportunities and challenges associated with this role. It will discuss the latest developments in the international hydrogen economy, highlighting sustainability issues that are critical for both importers and emerging suppliers, as well as country-specific risks and their influence on investment decisions and cost implications.
Dr. Julia Terrapon-Pfaff, Co-Head of the Research Unit Energy Transition International at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, will be a guest.
The event is free of charge and takes place hybrid. Participation is also possible via Zoom. You can register here.
