Join the city cycling and come to the mobility week!

Dear University Members,

This year's city cycling competition will start on May 2, 2023. The competition is about making as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way by bicycle.

Employees and students can register for the "Uni Witten/Herdecke" team at www.stadtradeln.de/registrieren under "Witten". Our goal is to become the largest team in the Ennepe-Ruhr district and to start the day in a healthy way.

It's worth taking part: the ten best UW/H cyclists will receive nice prizes - products from well-known bicycle companies, a gift basket from the world store or fair trade coffee. Take part in the city cycling and convince your colleagues and fellow students!

In line with the city cycling, the UW/H mobility week will also start with offers to promote sustainable mobility. For example, there are various ways to repair your bike - either you can do it yourself under the guidance of experts or you can get help from the Wabe bike cafe for a small fee. You can also get to know the university cargo bike or try out bikes from dealers who participate in the bike leasing offer. The police will also be on site with an information booth on traffic accident and crime prevention and will offer an intoxication goggle course. And anyone who wants to can easily register for eCarsharing. An overview of all actions can be found on the event page.

All UW/H mobility offers can be found on our mobility portal.

We look forward to seeing as many of you and you as possible on your bikes in the coming weeks and, of course, at Mobility Week.

Kind regards

Annaliesa Hilger - Sustainability Networking Office, Christoph Melius - Climate Protection Manager, Dirk Jakobs - Vice President for Organizational Development
